Biofeedback is a commonly used technique that uses instruments to help us monitor and optimize biological performance. A stopwatch to measure and optimize for pace improvements, a thermometer that allows us to monitor and control body temperature, and a heart monitor to monitor and regulate heart rhythm are examples of biofeedback.

In the same way, Neurofeedback is a method to control your brain function by measuring your brainwaves and looking for ways to improve their performance and, in-turn, your mood and feelings. We use sensors on the scalp to help us monitor your brainwave activity. We can then compare your brain’s activity to what it should be doing in a comfortable state. We can use a variety of exercises to draw your brain into that relaxed state and reward it for reaching that point. Practice makes perfect with Neurofeedback – results get better the more the brain is exercised.
