LCSW/Clinical Director

Maria holds a Master’s Degree in both Clinical Psychology from the New School for Social Research and in Social Work from New York University. She also earned a bachelor’s in Psychology from State University of New York – Purchase. Maria has strong clinical skills, working with clients in different settings. One of her passions is running and implementing DBT skills groups to help clients with anxiety, depression, substance abuse disorders, as well as personality disorders.

Prior to her appointment as clinical director at Clear mind treatment, Maria worked as a program director for Paradigm treatment centers and as a Treatment Coordinator for New York Presbyterian Hospital’S PHP program. (Rated as one of the top ten hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.) In addition she served as a clinician at an intensive outpatient program at Yale New Haven Hospital and prior to that at Napa State Hospital in California.
