Our TMS and Ketamine program for Depression takes about 6 weeks. However, we usually start seeing effects of Ketamine on mood after 2-3 treatments. The response rate on both Ketamine and TMS is quite high, with 70% of patients showing improvement in depressive symptoms.
First, Spravato is a low-dose Ketamine that has been approved by FDA . Second, the treatment is only done under your doctor’s supervision.
It is generally safe, with minor side effects (elevated heart rate, elevated blood pressure, temporary depersonalization). Although, it is not recommended for people with high blood pressure problems.
