Woodland Hills, CA
SUPPORTIVE LIVING HOME
Clear Mind Treatment now offers a residential mental health-supported living environment for those seeking additional structure to aid their journey of healing and recovery.
Our supportive living house is in the Woodland Hills area, offering ample space, beautiful views, and the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles.
Mental Health House Structure
We believe in teaching independent living to our residents. Our Woodland Hills location holds weekly in-house meetings, where we talk to the residents about their goals, how they are striving towards achieving them, and how all of it fits into their future lives. Everyone who lives at the house should either be attending Intensive Therapy sessions with us, working, looking for work, and going to school, along with attending AA or NA meeting regularly, getting a sponsor, working the 12 steps and are expected to contribute to maintaining the cleanliness of their house. All of this is in place to help them grow as individuals.
The Woodland Hills mental health supported living house provides a safe, recovery-based environment to promote success in life and recovery.
Our Woodland Hills house is conveniently situated nearby the local shopping malls, grocery stores, jobs, schools, and AA and NA meetings. It is right in the heart of the community, with many recreational activities, hiking, nature walks, shopping, public transportation, job opportunities, and more. The Greater Los Angeles area is known for having one of the most robust recovery communities in the world, and we feel grateful to live in such a recovery-rich area.
The Woodland Hills supported living house has a moderate structure. We believe in allowing our residents to live their usual lives. Still, early healing, stabilizing, and recovery are complicated, so we provide some basic rules and structures that should be followed. We provide drug testing, onsite management, and in-house meetings to provide a safe, recovery-focused living space.
We are here to give all of our residents a safe and structured place to live and reintegrate themselves back into the world as a healthy and sober member of society.

Benefits of Residential Mental Health Treatment
Why do people choose residential psychiatric care? Because it works.
Treatment for bipolar disorder, clinical depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, and other psychiatric disorders is complex. The needs of adults with these mental health disorders are highly individualized. People need sustained support from highly trained, compassionate psychiatric professionals to recover and thrive. At Clear Mind Treatment, we believe in the proven effectiveness of residential treatment programs for adults with mental illness.
Why Residential Treatment Programs Are So Effective for People with Mental Illness
While varying in style, residential psychiatric facilities share the following core characteristics, each of which promotes improved and sustained mental health:
Respect for the Individual
In residential treatment programs, each resident is seen as unique with strengths and weaknesses. Residents are accepted and appreciated for who they are rather than viewed as a “case” or a “patient.”
Individualized Therapeutic Treatment Goals
All treatment targets the resident’s unique mental health, social and physical needs. A primary goal of all residential facilities is to develop a wide range of self-care habits, from personal hygiene and taking psychiatric medication to resting and asking for help.
Supportive Structures and Routines
To recover from a mental illness such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, or anxiety disorder, residents need a structure that provides consistent support. Residential treatment centers have professional caregivers to support and help adults with mental illness establish every day, stabilizing routines for day and night.
As residential mental health community members, residents learn to take responsibility for their behavior and how it affects others. And they learn to respect the needs of other community members as well.
Contribution to the Community
Residents build self-esteem and learn new social skills by contributing to the residential and community outside the residence. This might include working or volunteering with businesses and community organizations.
In residential treatment, people share space with peers experiencing similar challenges while working toward recovery. Supportive relationships formed in a residential mental health facility often carry over into the community.
Higher Quality of Life
Meaningful activity, the development of nurturing relationships, the acquisition of new work and self-care skills, and the homelike atmosphere of the residential treatment community provide residents with a higher quality of life than they would experience in alternative mental health settings.
