 Many people rely on individual therapy for psychological support, but sometimes people need more help than can be provided by unique treatment alone. Men and women requiring more comprehensive mental health services may be referred to an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
IOP is structured therapeutic environment that provides therapy and restorative services 3 to 5 times a week for up to 3 hours daily and typically runs for 6-12 weeks. IOP therapy allows people recovering from a mental illness to continue their recovery, offering group therapy, individual therapy, psychiatry, and other modalities for men and women with depression, anxiety, PTSD, or other mental health issues.
